So I haven’t posted in about 3 months. I’m a bad momma.
My beautiful daughter Emillie “Sparkle-bot” Eloise was born October 17th, 2011 at 8:41pm. She weighed in at 5 pounds, 13 ounces, and 18 and a half inches long. I’ve been a new mom for a little over 2 weeks now, and I love her more then anything.
Its happened. My feet and ankles are SWOLLEN. -___-

When did you find out you were pregnant?
February 27th 2011
What kind of pregnancy test did you take?
LOL! 2 dollar store test.
What were your first symptoms?
Tired all of the time, and having to pee every 3 minuets.
Who did you tell first?
My cousin Karen. Then the husband.
Who was with you when you found out?
No one.
Was the baby planned?
lol nope. Jose and I had planned on having kids at least 5 years from now, but that didn’t happen. But we are very excited! And cannot wait for our little girl to be here.
When was the baby conceived?
January 31st.
When was your first appointment?
First official doctors appointment was April 6th.
What was your reaction?
“I knew it.”
What was the baby’s father’s reaction?
He was really worried, but he’s really happy now.
What was the parent’s reactions?
My parents are divorced but both are equally excited! This little girl is going to be so spoiled.
Do you know the sex? If so, boy or girl?
Yup! Its a GIRL!
Any names?
Emillie Eloise <3
Any ultrasounds?
Yes I’ve had two at the doctors, and one 3d.
Have you heard the heartbeat?
YES! <3 its nice and strong.
Baby ethnicity?
Puerto Rican
Will baby have any siblings?
Yeah, within 5 years. My sister and I are really far apart, and I think it hinders our relationship. Hubby has almost no relationship with his sibs too because of the same reason.
Have you and dad felt baby move?
Nope. Emillie is a lazy baby.
Who will be in the delivery room?
Jose and my mom.
Will you use medication?
Oh yeah.
Are you scared about labor?
Yeah but its not because of the pain, its because of my high risk complications. I just want everything to go as smoothly as possible.
Did you have morning sickness?
TONS.
Are you a high risk pregnancy?
Yeah
Any complications?
Lupus anti-coagulant syndrome.
Formula or breastfeeding?
Breastfeeding.
When did you start to show?
I’d say I’m looking “pregnant” now before I just looked fat.
Who will help with baby after he/she is born?
My husband. My mom will help as much as she can too, but she lives about 74 miles away.
What is your favorite thing about being pregnant?
That I am creating my beautiful daughter inside of me! How cool is that?!?!

What is the worst thing about being pregnant?
Craving things like beer, when I didn’t even drink before I was pregnant. =\
What one thing do you miss doing since being pregnant?
Living without being annoyed about everything about my ghetto ass neighborhood. It was okay before, but now I just keep thinking about how it will be when the baby is here. I feel bad for the druggies who hang out making noise in front of the building at 3 am when the baby gets here, because I know I’m going to be a physco parent.
Are you ready for the baby?
Mentally, yeah.
How many kids do you want?
We want 2.
Do you talk to your baby?
Oh yeah!
Have you had your baby shower yet?
No but I am registered at Buy buy baby and Babies r us.
Any weird dreams?
All of the time. Most are anxiety related.
Are you taking any classes?
I haven’t taken any yet. But I do have appointments for natural feeding class scheduled with a lactation counselor.
How far along?
16 weeks 6 days
Total weight gain/loss?
5lbs lost =(
Maternity clothes?
Yeah pants, I just couldn’t wear my regular pants anymore. And I got a bunch of stuff (dresses, shirts, pair of prego leggings) from this lady on Craigslist. I wear the dresses a lot.
Stretch marks?
Just the ones I always had.
Sleep?
Yeah, as long as I go to bed full. Otherwise I wake up all night hungry but too lazy to get up.
Best moment this week?
Finding out baby is a GIRL!
Movement?
Not yet, Emillie is lazy.
Food cravings?
everything, all of the time.
Gender?
Girl!!!
What I miss?
being able to wear my pretty corsets. Only one still fits me safely.
What I am looking forward to?
Decorating Emillie’s room. Making her some cute stuff like tutus! <3
Labor Signs?
lol no!
Belly Button in or out?
Still an innie.

I made a 7:30pm because my hubby was supposed to be working until 5 every day this past week. However his bosses FINALLY did something right, and gave my husband a well deserved promotion. He received a pay increase and a labor decrease and a bunch more hours, but he now works afternoon to midnight. Unfortunately this meant he couldn’t come to the appointment with me =(
I invited my mother to come with and she informed me early Thursday that she would be coming! YAYY! So Grammy comes to pick me up around 6:45 and we set out for the 3d place. After having her GPS get us lost a bit we FINALLY get there. I find out their are about 3 women ahead of me, and the woman at the front desk has me fill out some papers. The papers have a bunch of things you just want to know beforehand, but my favorite was “I understand the sonogram technician will not be able to tell me the color of my baby’s eyes” LOL! seriously do people think that?!? So often that they need to put it on their intake forms?! LOL!
Front desk girl calls me over ask me for my proof of prenatal care and my due date. She asks me if I have starved myself for 4 hours, which I have -__-. She then goes through my package with me “Gender package” perfect for women 16-20 weeks pregnant. She explains what I will get, A CD with 10 images, a photo album, 2 color prints of baby, a book of awesome coupons, and last but not least baby’s gender. She also explains what will happen once I get into the room, and what will happen if baby doesn’t want to show us the goods. “You will be asked to rub your belly to encourage baby to open their legs, and if after that they do not we will ask that you go out for about 20 mins, grab something to drink, maybe something to eat, and we will try again. If then it still does not work we will ask you once more to rub your belly. If THAT doesn’t work we will retain a $50 sitting fee, and make you an appointment for next week.” Alright!
She goes through other packages for further in the pregnancy, and explains the importance of drinking 7 to 8 glasses of water per day. I pay her. And then sit back in the waiting section. My mother asks me if I am drinking water. “Yes mom.” About 10 minuets pass and the technician comes out and calls me.
I follow the sonogram tech into a dark room with one ultrasound machine, several monitors, a very large lay down chair, and 3 regular chairs in the corner. I lay down, mom sits, and the tech asks me if I have any inclination as to baby’s gender. I say “yeah I’m pretty sure its a boy” she asks if there is any reason why, and I say “Well, Chinese predictor calender, and I honestly just don’t believe there could be a girl in there.”
After a few moments of her searching she says “well congratulations on your baby GIRL!” I am shocked. The only thing I could utter was “What? What? WHAT?! SERIOUSLY?!?!” and I instantly started to cry. Mom was in the corner with her own “WHAT!? REALLY!”. We were so loud that front desk girl came in to investigate. Tech says ” I knew you wanted a girl but you didn’t want to say it, and you were in denial.” She’s right.
So here she is…

I have so much excite and happiness in my heart!
I called hubby and he said he knew for a while. He has had several dreams of her, one even before we were pregnant. Grammy is so excited! She says now Grammy is getting an Emmy! <3 how cute is that?!
I went and deleted all the gender neutral things on my registry and started adding the pink. We are planning a Alice in wonderland inspired nursery for little Emillie.
Her name was picked a while ago, the hubs and I decided to narrow it down to 1 girl name and 1 boy name. We chose Emillie because my mothers name is Millie and I figured this would be a nice way to include her in her name. I also just love Eloise, so it just fit! Hubby agreed! <3
We are so excited! I added so many tutu’s to her registry! <3
After the appointment I said “Its a girl!” about every 10 minutes.
Here are some more of the pictures from the 3d ultrasound:

This is the 3d version of her lady parts.

Here she is! Its still too soon to get good pictures. She hasn’t got any fat yet, so she kinda looks like a weird squiggle alien. But I love her! And I’m so excited to be her mommy! <3
Sanctus Real - “Lead Me”
I look around and see my wonderful life
Almost perfect from the outside
In picture frames I see my beautiful wife
Always smiling
But on the inside, I can hear her saying…
“Lead me with strong hands
Stand up when I can’t
Don’t leave me hungry for love
Chasing dreams, what about us?
Show me you’re willing to fight
That I’m still the love of your life
I know we call this our home
But I still feel alone”
I see their faces, look in their innocent eyes
They’re just children from the outside
I’m working hard, I tell myself they’ll be fine
They’re independent
But on the inside, I can hear them saying…
“Lead me with strong hands
Stand up when I can’t
Don’t leave me hungry for love
Chasing dreams, but what about us?
Show me you’re willing to fight
That I’m still the love of your life
I know we call this our home
But I still feel alone”
So Father, give me the strength
To be everything I’m called to be
Oh, Father, show me the way
To lead them
Won’t You lead me?
To lead them with strong hands
To stand up when they can’t
Don’t want to leave them hungry for love,
Chasing things that I could give up
I’ll show them I’m willing to fight
And give them the best of my life
So we can call this our home
Lead me, ‘cause I can’t do this alone
Father, lead me, ‘cause I can’t do this alone
